What this service involves
Felt hardens with use and the tone turns strident; in other pianos the felt has gone dead and the sound is dull. We file hammers to restore shape, then needle or lacquer the felt to bring the instrument back to the tone colour the room and the player want.
Work is carried out in your home wherever possible. Jobs that need the bench — action rebuilding, keytop replacement, refinishing — are handled at our Arvada workshop with the instrument returned when complete.
